2021 Te Mata Estate Alma Pinot Noir

Matured in a mixture of new and seasoned French oak barriques for a period of 10 months.
Deep dark red core with black toned edges and a dark red hue. Delicate violet notes mix with sour to red cherry and rhubarb scents followed by some fresh herby accents, stalk and spice. Light and elegant the palate features red cherry and rhubarb flavours which meld into a stalky cedar, fresh herb, earthy graphite and spice back drop. Good underlying fresh acidity and fine grained tannins with a savoury finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
