2021 Tellurian Tranter Shiraz
Certified organic. Deep black as night heart with a dark red hue. Pepper infused red plum and liquorice aromas drift from the glass followed by hints of graphite, vanillin cedar and fresh herb notes. Rich dark plum and liquorice fruits fill the mouth with vanillin cedar, earthy graphite, fennel, clove and blackpepper characters lying underneath. Refined and fleshy in its feel it has an underlying sturdy yet fine grained tannin structure and concludes with a polished medium to long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
Alc. 14.6%
Other Reviews…..
Such velvety mouthfeel. Plum, redcurrant, clove and mint flavours take the veneer of cedarwood and run with it. This is a hand-in-glove seamless red wine, simultaneously sophisticated and effortless. Drink by 2035.

Campbell Mattinson – James Halliday’s Australian Wine Companion
This is a powerful wine, reliant on a reductive bone of tension for structure, finding confluence with well-managed tannins, the signature of the address. Notes of tea tree and bay leaf, all dry, scrubby and savory, before a burst of lilac saturates the mid-palate and raspberry coulis lathers the tenacious finish. I'd give this a stiff decant, or wait just a few years before breaching. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
