2021 Tim Adams Shiraz

Tim Adams has been one of Clare valley’s stalwarts since releasing their first wines in the mid 1980’s. Sourced from some of the best blocks across the region this traditionally styled Shiraz comes from one of Clare Valley’s best vintages in recent memory and delivers great bang for your buck. Maturation took place in a combination of new and seasoned American oak for a period 24 months followed by a further 18 months in stainless steel tanks that allowed for integration and softening of oak tannins.

Rich, opulent Clare Valley Shiraz redolent with a distinct mint character.

Impenetrable inky black heart with a deep dark red black hue. Intense ripe blackberry and liquorice aromas leap out of the glass complimented by dark chocolate, spicy vanillin oak, subtle earthy mint and pepper notes. Rich and opulent in it’s feel, the full bodied palate is layered with cascading waves of plush dark plum and liquorice fruits infused with mint. Subtlety toasted vanillin cedar, dark chocolate and peppered earth elements lurk beneath with velvet smooth tannins carrying a sturdy underbelly. Concludes long and succulent.
