$1560.00 Dozen
Cellar: Drink now - 10 Years (2024-2034)
ABV: 15.5%

Predominately sourced from the Gomersal and Marananga sub regions of the Barossa with contributions from Krondorf and Greenock as well. Maturation took place in a combination of new (40%), second fill and seasoned French oak barriques for a period of 24 months.
Boasting magnificent density of colour this monumental Shiraz features an impenetrable inky black heart with an equally deep black dark red hue. Potent dark plum, liquorice, blackberry and black cherry aromas waft out of the glass completely overwhelming the olfactory senses. Toasty vanillin oak, earthy mocha and peppered fennel scents ensue. Enormous in in its stature and power, the hefty palate is hit with a dense concentrate of dark plum, liquorice, blackberry and black cherry fruits that show a tidal wave like force. Lending further nuance are notions of scorched earth, vanillin cedar, mocha and pepper. Voluptuously textured, bold sturdy tannins provide the framework for what is an exceptionally long and extraordinarily decadent finish. A dense palate staining powerhouse.
Drink over the next 8-10 years.
Alc. 15.5%

Other Reviews....
The 2021 The Factor is a blend of vineyard sites (Krondorf, Rowland Flat, Greenock and Marananga) and is 100% Shiraz (Syrah). On the nose, it offers a complete vision of Barossa Shiraz—chewy, supple, spicy, big, expansive and voluminous. It has a way of being both structural and inviting and flows long through the finish. This is a very good wine here, classy, comforting and evocative, and while silky, it's also pleasingly regional. The tannins are gently chewy through the finish, which I like very much. Drink 2024-2041.

Offers a dense, powerful mix of violet, bittersweet chocolate and sandalwood-infused morello cherries in syrup. Blueberry, blackberry and date-nut bread flavors are plump on a frame of polished and toothsome tannins. Clove and Saigon cinnamon notes linger, with a powerful crescendo on the finish. Shiraz. Drink now through 2039.
