2021 Torres Coronas Tempranillo

Founded in 1870 by Jamie Torres, today the Bodegas Torres is considered to be one of the world’s great wine families producing wines from across Spain, Chile and California. Torres has 1700 hectares on vines in Catalonia, which provides about one quarter of the companies production.

Mostly Tempranillo with some Cabernet Sauvignon aged in mix of French (90%) and American oak (10%) for a period of 9 months. Dark red core with black toned edges and a red to dark red hue. Nosing offers up aromas of black cherries and liquorice followed by some scorched earth, leather and spice notes. Medium bodied the palate features fleshy black cherry and liquorice fruits over scorched earth, vanillin cedar and spicy dried herb characters. Slightly chewy mouth feel with a fine grained yet sturdy tannin structure. Concludes long, elegant and savoury.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
