2021 Yalumba Sanctum Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

Sourced from Yalumba’s Menzie’s Estate vineyard with maturation taking place in in older French oak hogsheads and barriques for a period of 5 months. Dense midnight black heart with a very deep dark red black hue. Attractive red to black currant and mulberry scents blossom out of the glass followed by some dusty vanillin cedar, tobacco, dried herb and spicy black olive notes. Medium bodied the refined palate is decorated with a mix of red to black currant and mulberry fruits which are intertwined with cedary tobacco characters, dried herbs and spicy black olives. Fine yet sturdy tannin structure with a long richly fruited yet savoury conclusion.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
