Matured in French barriques (15% new) for 18 months. Deep plummy red. With its core of blackcurrant fruit, subtle cedar notes – from the well-handled oak – and crushed violets, there's a lot to like here. Medium bodied and with tannins that are silky smooth yet persistent, this should just be hitting its straps on release and will continue to improve for at least the next five to seven years. Drink 2023 - 2029.
