2021 Yering Station Pinot Noir
Matured in French oak for 9 months. Semi translucent red colour with a subtle black tinge to the edges and a vibrant light red hue. Perfumed scents of violets, red cherries and strawberries overlay subtle toasty oak, forest floor and spice notes. Light in body, savoury red cherry, strawberry and delicate anise flavours make a supple entrance onto the palate. Spicy cedar, forest floor and delicate infusions of fresh herbs lie underneath. Finishes with good freshness, polished tannins and an elegant yet lengthy aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 13.5%
Other Reviews….
Brilliant bright color bursts from the glass. The nose of raspberry and brambly cherry captures the essence of Pinot Noir. It’s vibrant and lively with dominant red fruit flavours merging with a little mushroom forest floor. The fine chalky acid holds it tightly, but the flesh emerges as it opens up. Very long and precise with a defining fine acidity. Drink 2022-2030.
