2022 Anderson & Marsh Parell Albarino
Brilliant pale straw colour with a subtle glimmer of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Aromas of pear and red apple skin mingle with hints of lemon butter, quince and spice. Vibrant fresh pear, red apple skin and lime fruits have a racy yet nicely rounded textural feel. Quince, beeswax and wet stone characters linger through the back half. Finishes dry with brisk acidity and a long refined aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.

Other Reviews....
Fermentation in stainless steel (50%) and older puncheons on lees (50%). The major white grape of Spain is making itself right at home in the Alpine Valleys. Brings both energy and warmth to the glass with a touch of savouriness. Layers of grapefruit, lemon peel, apple, preserved lemon and beeswax build and build in the mouth. The mix of tart bite and mealy softness talks to the grape's noted natural acidity. Tasted six months before release, but easily on track for a big future. Drink 2023 - 2027.
