2022 Brave Souls The Able Seaman Grenache
Dark red core with black toned edges and a bright red hue. Intense dark raspberry and red liquorice scents sail out of the glass followed by some red plum, vanillin confectionary and subtle spicy earth notes. Juicy dark raspberry, ripe cherry and liquorice fruits flood the mouth with vanillin earth, dried herb and spice elements flowing through the back half. Fleshy textured and possessing good freshness it has velvet smooth tannins and concludes long, plush and succulent.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 14.5%

The website doesn’t work, and if you lose the wine in the domain name, you get a site about breathing techniques, though breathing is not something we generally need to think about.
Here’s a good wine in a more throaty style. Dark cherry, plum, liquorice, sage and spice. Medium to full-bodied, sandy tannin, plum, and chocolate dipped strawberries, baking spices, with a grainy finish of good length. Plenty of flavour and a good amount to chew on. Value is bang on. Drink 2023-2027.
