2022 Cape Mentelle Chardonnay

A rich, mouth filling Chardonnay that retains plenty of freshness and energy.

Brilliant pale straw colour with a distinct greenish tint to the edges and a watery hue. The nose carries elevated aromas of peach, nectarine and dried honey which are intermeshed with citrusy nougat, biscuit and faint crème brulee notes. Rich and creamy textured yet fresh, the palate delivers mouthfilling flavours of fleshy peach, nectarine, dried honey, roasted almond, citrusy nougat, crème brulee and infusions of gun flint. Brisk acidity finishing round and full yet energetically long.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
