2022 Clarnette Shiraz

Aged in small French and American oak barrels for 15 months. Impenetrable inky black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced aromas of dark plum, liquorice and blackberry are complimented by vanillin cedar, a faint whiff of mocha and peppered earth notes. Rich dark plum, ripe blueberry and liquorice fruits drive the medium to full bodied palate with notions of vanillin cedar, earth and peppery fresh herb characters lying underneath. Generously fleshed it has a polished yet structured framework of tannins as well as good freshness. Concludes long, amply fruited and peppery.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
