2022 Colle Corviano Montepulciano d’Abruzzo

Dense inky black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Lifted dark cherry and liquorice aromas are intermeshed with dark plum, dried herb and scorched earth notes. Rich, juicy dark cherry, liquorice and ripe plum fruits fill the mouth backed by sturdy tannins which impart a chewy feel onto the back half. Dried herbs, inky earth and vanillin spice characters are also apparent. Good underlying fresh acidity with a finish that’s generously doused with inky dark to black fruits.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
