Generously fruited, mid weighted Cabernet with a fine grained yet sturdy tannin structure.

Matured for 18 months in French oak of which 25% was new. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Nosing offers up intense blackcurrant and mulberry scents infused with black olive and cigar box notes. A whiff of spicy dried herbs is also evident. Generous red to black currant and mulberry fruits drive the mid weighted palate with notions of black olive, subtle cigar box, dried herbs and spice the undercard. Fine grained yet sturdy tannin structure with a refined feel to the lengthy conclusion.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
Alc. 14.4%

Other Reviews……
From estate vines planted in '86; raised in French oak (about 25% new) for 18 months. Though impeccably varietal, this skips any overt leafiness, leaning into cedar, mulberry, cassis, currant and a toasted nori regional note. Lifted cabernet perfume is there, though, along with both power and a certain refinement of delivery, with tannins expertly managed to pair with fruit weight. It’s fine value. Drink by 2030.
