2022 COS Rami

Azienda Agricola COS was founded in 1980 in the town of Vittoria, located in the southeast of Sicily. Championing indigenous grape varietals since their inception, today they are one of the finest producers on the island. Rami is a skin-contact white blend of %50 Grecanico & 50% Inzolia produced from twelve-year-old vines thriving in red, limestone-rich soil. The wines undergo wild fermentation on skins and are matured in concrete tanks before some aging in bottle.

The 2022 Rami, a blend of Inzolia and Grecanico, entices with its dusty florals and subtle lemony citrus tones that slowly give way to ginger-tinged apples. This is soft and supple on the palate, with a savory blend of exotic spices and flinty orchard fruits. Brisk acidity maintains a lovely inner freshness as the 2022 finishes perfumed and lightly structured. An appricot suggestion lingers on. Drink 2024 - 2029.

Attractive aromas of candied oranges, peach skins, dried flowers, pie crust and honey. Medium-bodied, juicy and textured with vivid acidity. A little phenolic in the end with a zesty character. From organically grown grapes. Drink now.
