2022 Dandelion Vineyards Damsel of the Barossa Merlot

Matured in older French oak barriques for 20 months. Dense inky black in colour with a deep dark red black hue. Pronounced ripe blackcurrant and plum aromas are interwoven with cedary tobacco, dried herb, earth and spicy cedar notes. Rich blackcurrant and plum fruits carry ample weight across the mouth filling palate with some spicy vanillin cedar, earth, dried herbs and subtle tobacco the undercard. Ripe sturdy tannin structure with bright underlying acidity and a long opulently fruited finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
