2022 David Duband Echezeaux Grand Cru
David Duband is regarded as one of the rising stars of Burgundy. He took over his family domaine at a very young age and now has more than 20 vintages of experience behind him. Starting out with small family holdings David, together with his business partner Francois Feuillet, have added to their portfolio of wines through the purchase of some exceptional old Grand cru vineyards throughout Gevrey Chambertin and Morey St Denis, including prime holdings of retiring vigneron Jacky Truchot.
Other Reviews....
A whiff of menthol combines with the spicy aromas of red currant and exotic tea. The round, delicious and generously proportioned larger-bodied flavors that retain a good sense of delineation on the compact, markedly powerful and very serious finale. This is pretty much so backward that it's a 'buy and forget' wine that should amply repay extended keeping. Drink through 2034+.

A fine mid crimson, not much nose, definitely a savoury touch here, crushed strawberry and a herbal (not herbaceous) note as well. A significant volume of fruit here, yet still nuanced, enhanced by a gorgeous finish. Drink from 2030-2038.
