2022 David Duband Nuits-Saint-Georges Clos Sorbe Premier Cru
David Duband is regarded as one of the rising stars of Burgundy. He took over his family domaine at a very young age and now has more than 20 vintages of experience behind him. Starting out with small family holdings David, together with his business partner Francois Feuillet, have added to their portfolio of wines through the purchase of some exceptional old Grand cru vineyards throughout Gevrey Chambertin and Morey St Denis, including prime holdings of retiring vigneron Jacky Truchot.
Other Reviews....
Much like the Gevrey, there is a hint of herbal tea character present on the equally pure, cool and restrained nose of appealingly spicy array of red currant, cherry and soft earth nuances. The mouthfeel of the energetic medium weight flavors is agreeably refined while possessing excellent complexity on the dusty, balanced and youthfully austere finale. Lovely and understated in style. Drink through 2030+.

A mid crimson colour. The bouquet is a little bit sterner, with the sauvage character (not evident in the village wine) more of a red fruit perfume on the palate along with a touch of blood orange, a lovely finish. Very graceful, a wine of medium concentration but significant length. Drink from 2030-2036.
