2022 Domaine Du Bouchot Pouilly-Sur-Loire Mon Village

Formed in 1966, Domaine du Bouchet is now owned by Antoine Gouffier who purchased the 10 hectare estate in 2019. Antoine is a native of Saint Andelain, though he spent years abroad gaining experience in the USA, New Zealand, Middle East, Argentina and notably in South Africa. Upon returning to France, he purchased the estate from Pascal Kerbiquet, a local figure who had made a name for himself working organically and with biodynamic farming. In very short time Antoine has risen to prominence, and in 2022 was named “Discovery of the Year 2022” by the French wine magazine La Revue du Vin de France.

Mon Village is fresh and especially fine example of 100% Chasselas, the predominant variety in Pouilly-Sur-Loire.

A light, tidy and focused white with super-clean aromas and flavors of yellow gooseberries and dry, slatey minerals. A hint of fresh ginger adds tension. Fresh, nicely balanced and flavorful on the palate with an incisive finish. 100% Chasselas. From organically grown grapes. Enjoy also as an aperitif.
