2022 Domaine La Florane A Fleur Cotes du Rhone

A blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Carignan. Dark red black tinged core with a dark red hue. Aromas of dark raspberry and red liquorice mix with some cherry, provincial herb and peppered earth notes. Juicy red to dark raspberry and cherry fruits combine with some red liquorice, infusions of provincial herbs, earth and pepper. Faintly chewy tannins with a nicely fleshed mid length finish.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

Ripe scents, maybe some stewed fruit but immediately you get lavender and the garrigue type of mixed herb-spice bouquet and braised meat. It’s plummy and earthy, with black liquorice sweetness and warming spice lingering in the back. It’s plush juice with firm tannins and iron stone as the lasting impression. As a whole, it delivers the goods. Drink 2024-2028.
