2022 Fighting Gully Road Pinot Noir
This delicious Pinot Noir was made from two clones (114 and MV6) and comprises a one third whole bunch component, which was fermented separately using maceration carbonique. Each component was matured separately in new (40%) and seasoned Italian coopered French oak 500 litre puncheons for a period of 12 months.
An uber moreish Beechworth Pinot that boasts explosive power.
Semi translucent bright red colour with a light red hue. Wonderfully aromatic and perfumed, violet like scents intermingle with red cherry, strawberry and subtle anise. Notes of fresh herbs, forest floor and spicy cedar ensue. Only light in body yet powerful and expansive, the palate is graced with red cherry, strawberry and anise flavours which are delivered with fantastic concentration. Supplely textured and possessing silky smooth tannins, notions of clove, forest floor and spicy cedar unfold across the back half. The explosive finish shows a juicy like freshness and a long peacocks tail like aftertaste.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
