2022 Grasshopper Rock Earnscleugh Vineyard Pinot Noir

Aged for 10 months in French Oak barriques (28% new) followed by 18 months bottle aging.
Semi translucent red to dark red colour with black toned edges and a light red hue. Alluring violet, ripe cherry, dark plum and anise scents show plenty of elevation out of the glass trailed by some toasty oak, earth, dried herb and spice notes. Ripe and fleshy the palate is amply endowed with rich dark cherry, plum and anise flavours which meld into a subtlety toasted vanillin cedar, dried herb and spicy earth back drop. Polished and supple, it has velvety tannins and a long powerful finish that’s highly seductive.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
