Henschke’s Peggy’s Hill Riesling takes its name from the local landmark ‘Peggy’s Hill’ located at the top of the range between the villages of Eden Valley and Keyneton. Fruit is sourced from Henschke Eden Valley growers whose vines are up to 50 years old.
Brilliant very pale straw colour with a faint tinge of green to the edges and a watery hue. Uplifted scents of lime and citrus fill the nostrils followed by some orange rind, talc and steely mineral notes. Concentrated lime and citrus fruits show plenty of volume in the mouth and are underscored by zingy acidity. Some green apple, orange rind, chalky talc and flinty mineral elements also chime in. Superb drive finishing dry and crunchy with a long intensely flavoured aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 12.5%

Other Reviews….
An acidity-driven riesling with stone and sliced apple and juiciness at the same time. It’s medium-bodied with phenolics under the fruit and acidity. Lime zest and flowers. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
