Impenetrable inky black core with an equally deep dark purple black hue. Potent morello cherry, black cherry and liquorice scents flood the nostrils followed by some black plum, vanillin cedar, scorched earth and blackpepper notes. Rich, firmly structured and chewy in texture, the full bodied palate is swamped with lavish morello to black cherry and liquorice fruits. Smoke infused vanillin oak, cinnamon, scorched earth and blackpepper characters ensue. Ripe muscular tannin structure finishing long, concentrated, youthfully bright and grippy.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
