2022 Mandala Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw colour with highlights of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Attractive white peach, dried honey and subtle cashew aromas rise from the glass with hints of citrusy nougat and spice also evident. The refined mid weighted palate features white peach, dried honey and pear flavours over a back drop of cashew, nougat and spice. Faintly creamy in its feel it has an elegant medium length conclusion.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

Barrel fermented on full solids in French oak (15% new) with 10% of the wine going through mlf. A bright green gold. More complex than in 2021, with its aromas of oyster shells, hazelnuts and stone fruits. Still quite tightly wound and with good intensity before finishing grapefruit pithy and long.
