2022 Mont-Redon Reserve Cotes du Rhone Blanc

A blend of 55.5% Viognier, 16% Roussanne, 15% Marsanne, 10% Grenache Blanc and 3.5% Clairette, whole-bunch pressed, then cool-fermented in stainless steel, without malolactic conversion. Matured on fine lees for a few months to build texture.
Bright pale straw colour with highlights of green around the edges and a watery hue. Pronounced ripe pear and apricot scents are complimented by honeysuckle and a faint whiff of ginger. Rich fleshy pear, peach and apricot fruits overlay a honeysuckle and ginger spice back drop. Nicely rounded mouth feel with a lick of brisk acidity adding just the right amount of freshness to the long spicy conclusion.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
