Coming Soon - 2022 Nicks Secret Single Vineyard Yarra Valley Pinot Noir
Comprised of vineyards, cattle pastures and native bush, this estate stretches over 1100 acres making it one of the biggest land holdings in the Yarra Valley. The vineyard was planted in 1995 and is just over 60 acres in size with a focus on Pinot Noir.
Light, savoury and complex, this Yarra Valley Pinot delivers great value at it’s secret price.
Red to dark red core with black toned edges and a light red hue. Fragrant red cherry and wild strawberry scents mix with subtle violet and dried clove notes. Lending further complexity are notes of bramble, rhubarb, earth and spice. Light and supple across the palate, delicious red cherry, wild strawberry and rhubarb flavours are complimented by notions of dried clove, subtle blood orange, forest floor and brambly spice characters. There’s a gentle tang to the acidity and the tannins are beautifully polished. Finishes long, spicy and savoury.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 12.5%
Other Reviews…..
Fermented with 50% whole bunches and aged in new (8%) and older French barriques. A medium ruby red. Harmonious and complex on the nose with its aromas of red and black fruits, freshly grated cinnamon, incense and flowers. Just as well balanced on the palate which has both excellent depth and structure. The tannins are chiselled and long, as is the wine. A little patience will be required, and rewarded. Drink by 2032.
