Matured in a mix of new and seasoned French oak for a period of 15 months. Magnificent colour displaying a super saturated inky black heart with an equally deep black dark red hue. Ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum scents infused with blackpepper jump out of the glass followed by vanillin cedar and smoked meat notes. Rich and youthfully opulent the seductive palate is awash with concentrated black cherry, liquorice and blackberry fruits. Spicy vanillin cedar, peppered earth and smoked meat elements ensue. Sturdy, tightly grained tannins with more than ample power to the long blackpepper infused finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

An absolutely cracking McLaren Vale Shiraz from a top vintage. What more could you want? Small batch ferment, eight days on skins, and then maturation for 18 months in French oak. The colour is a vibrant and yet near opaque magenta. Ripe flavours just oozing through here. Chocolate, mocha and coffee bean notes. This is rich and full with big, bold flavours. Expect this to provide great pleasure over the next decade and more.
