2022 Saracco Moscato d’Asti (375ml)
Described by Vinous Media wine critic Ian D'Agata as the 'DRC of Moscato d'Asti', this is a captivating example of Moscato. Pours with a gentle effervescent spritz flowing through a water coloured base that has pale green tinged edges. Freshly squeezed grape juice, peach, mango, orange blossom and subtle musk notes burst of the glass with great energy. Sweet juicy grape, mango and pineapple fruits have a zingy fruit tingle like feel across the light yet intensely flavoured palate. Infusions of orange blossom linger on the finish with refreshing acidity electrifying the long sweet, fruity aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
Alc. 5.5%
Other Reviews….
Fresh, vibrant aromatics, full of sweet peaches, orange citrus, orange blossom and fresh carnival grapes. Fine, creamy mousse on the sweet but fresh palate with plenty of sweet lemons and melon. A solid, well-balanced Moscato d’Asti. Drink now.

“Aww, nectar”, quips GW. We’re drinking this in the sun with our shirts off in our y-fronts and foil reflectors under our chins with cucumber rounds on our eyes. How moscato should be drunk.
It’s brilliant drinking, peachy iced tea, a little loose, wild honey character, some preserved lemon, a lick of chalky minerality too in a light pucker somewhere in there. Refreshing, clean, quite concentrated and with very light frizz of tickly bubbles barely there. A vibrant, expressive and true-to-style rendition. “Needs some ice”, GW says as he rolls over to sun his bum. Perfect. Drink 2023-2025.
