The Seabrook family have a long history in the Australian wine industry, dating back to 1878 when William Seabrook established one of Australia’s earliest wine merchants, W.J. Seabrook & Son. Today, fifth generation member Hamish Seabrook carries on the tradition. After graduating from Adelaide University with a bachelor of Oenology, Hamish went on to work and make wine for Best’s Great Western where industry legend Viv Thomson took him under his wing. After several other senior winemaking roles, Hamish went on to establish his own brand continuing the families long involvement in the wine industry.
The fruit for this wine was sourced from Seabrook’s Home Block vineyard located on the eastern ridge of Barossa Valley. The rows are orientated north south and the vineyard captures most of the afternoon sun, this coupled with the aspect, allow perfect conditions for early ripening. Matured for 24 months in barrel.

Thick and seductive with black fruits layered across a sumptuously rich palate.

Super dense inky black heart with a near equally deep dark red black hue. Intense dark plum, liquorice and blackberry scents waft from the glass followed by some black cherry, vanillin oak, scorched earth and peppered fennel notes. Bold, lush and voluptuously textured the palate is drenched end to end in spicy black plum, liquorice and black cherry fruits which meld into a vanillin oak, scorched earth and peppered fennel back drop. Boasting magnificent power, richness and density it has velvet smooth tannins and a long super seductive finish. Blockbuster stuff!
