2022 Stella Bella Cabernet Merlot

A blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Merlot matured in 10% new French oak for a period of 12 months. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Spicy red currant and mulberry aromas emanate from the glass followed by hints of earthy graphite and traces of capsicum. Mid weighted and structured the elegant palate sees red currant, mulberry and red cherry fruits framed by tight, drying tannins. Muscular feel with dusty earth, spicy cedar and bay leaf characters also evident. Fresh youthful acidity with a tense finish that has a chalky feel to it.
