2023 Bream Creek Riesling
Brilliant water like core with a distinctive greenish tinge highlighted around the edges. Elevated lime juice, lemon and green apple scents are trailed by some chalk, wet steel and mineral notes. Delicious lime, citrus and green apple fruits decorate the tense, mouth watering palate with notions of wet steel and chalky mineral characters lying underneath. Dry crisp finish with a long aftertaste that has a steely focus.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
Alc. 12.5%
Other Reviews….
Riesling sourced from 48-year-old vines on a northeast ridge overlooking Marion Bay on the east coast. Light straw with aromas of grapefruit, lime pith, lemon and green apple with hints of wildflowers, mountain herbs, crushed stone and marzipan. Mouth-filling, concentrated and expansive, yet that scything minerality draws all into line and gifts cadence and nerve, finishing long, dry and grapefruity. Drink by 2033.
