The 2023 Bastor-Lamontagne is terrific. In fact, this is one of the best vintages I have tasted. Passion fruit, pineapple, tangerine peel and mint are all beautifully lifted. Bastor-Lamontagne is always on the lighter, more airy side of Sauternes. The 2023 offers plenty of that finesse, but with a bit more mid-palate creaminess than in recent years. This is very fine effort. Drink 2026-2043.

Medium-sweet with a subtle spiciness. Lots of dried fruit with a floral and lemongrass undertone. Honeysuckle. Hints of lemon and dried apple. Excellent balance and finesse. 80% semillon and 20% sauvignon blanc.
