2023 Chateau Marquis d'Alesme Pre-Arrival Offer
Other Reviews....
The 2023 Marquis d'Alesme is impressive. Raspberry jam, blood orange, white flowers, mint and lavender abound. Silky, elegant tannins wrap it all together in style. A closing burst of bright acids and lifted floral notes lends the last kick of resonance. Classy, elegant and polished, the 2023 is one of the best recent editions I have encountered. Tasted two times. Drink 2030-2045.

This has a fresh and juicy fruit character, showing currant and citrus-peel notes. It’s medium-bodied with firm, grainy tannins. Bright and chewy at the end.

Cassis, darker raspberries, spring flowers, and spicy oak emerge from the 2023 Château Marquis D'Alesme, a medium-bodied, elegant Margaux that has the fresher, lively style of the vintage while still bringing ample depth, concentration, and length.

The perfume pops with flowers, cherries, mint, tobacco, smoke, mocha, and cedar. On the palate, the wine is elegant, soft, and lifted, with a spicy edge to the red berries. There is a chalky, marine influence that comes through on the back end of the finish. The wine blends 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc. 13% ABV. 3.5 pH. The harvest took place from September 16 - October 6. Yields were only 32 hectoliters per hectare. Drink from 2028-2055.
