2023 Dhillon Glenhope Riesling

Michael Dhillon’s latest venture, emerging from the granite-rich soils at the northern tip of the Macedon Ranges, 460 meters above sea level, marks a thrilling expansion of his “negociant” wine collection. The Riesling, harvested in mid April, underwent natural fermentation in seasoned French oak barrels followed by maturation of over six months on delicate yeast lees. The aroma unfolds with understated complexity, revealing initial hints of lime and lemon zest, followed by nuances of sherbet, spice, floral accents, and a savory touch from the lees.
