2023 Garagiste Le Stagiaire Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw colour with a distinct glimmer of green skirting the edges and a watery hue. Delightful white peach and nectarine fruits jump out of the glass trailed by some melon, subtle biscuity oak and traces of gun flint. Light to mid weight and possessing an energetic feel, fleshy white peach, nectarine and melon fruits drive the palate with subtle citrus and stony mineral elements lying underneath. Good tension and freshness with an elegant mineral laced finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

I just finished my tax return, so I needed a glass of Chardonnay to cool my boots.

Juicy, intense but balanced. Low oak. Big flavour. Zippy citrus acidity, flinty bits,  grapefruit and stone fruit, with excellent length.  Very lively, and excellent value with it. Drink 2024-2030.
