2023 Hentley Farm Eden Valley Riesling

Sourced from three high altitude Eden Valley blocks of varying aspects, winemaker Andrew Quin has produced a stunning Riesling that’s bursting with flavour. The 2023 vintage saw below average daytime temperatures and cool nights, ideal ripening conditions for Riesling, allowing for extended and gradual flavour accumulation. This resulted in wines that possess a combination of high natural acidity, intense flavours and amazing power.

Brilliant water like core with distinct highlights of green around the outskirts. Soaring out of the glass with fantastic intensity are aromatics of lime, citrus and orange rind followed by talc and chalky mineral like notes. A concentrate of mouth watering lime, citrus and orange rind fruits engulfs every corner of the mouth, overlaying a chalky talc, subtle wet steel and mineral back drop. Outstanding power and textural volume combine with crisp, cleansing acidity to lead into a dry, super scrumptious finish that’s exceptionally long.
