2023 Holm Oak Pinot Noir
Matured in French oak (25% new) for a period of 10 months. Semi translucent red colour with black toned edges and a light red hue. Alluring scents of violets, red cherries, strawberries and anise are delivered with a perfumed like intensity. Subtle fresh herb, forest floor and delicate spicy cedar notes are also evident. Delicious red cherry and winter strawberry fruits are layered across the palate with a supple feel. Infusions of fresh herbs, forest floor and spice lie underneath. Polished tannins and fresh acidity with a finish that’s long and savoury.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Other Reviews....
A mix of several pinot noir clones off a number of blocks on the Holm Oak estate, destemmed, wild ferment, matured for 10 months in French oak, 25% new. Raspberry, redcurrant and wild strawberry notes with hints of mushroom tea, leaf litter, fine spice, clover blossom, dried citrus and earth. Finely balanced and filigreed, it's a delicate style with a lacy acid cadence and diaphanous red fruits fading slowly on the exit. Drink by 2034.
