2023 Juniper Canvas Malbec
Inky black dark purple heart with a bright dark purple hue. Freshly crushed dark cherry and blueberry aromas mix with liquorice, inky earth and spicy dried herb notes. Juicy dark cherry and blueberry fruits overlay earth, dried herb and spice elements. Fresh inky feel with vibrant acidity and slightly chewy tannins. Youthfully delicious crunchy blue fruited aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 14%
Other Reviews….
Sometime when tasting a wine I think, why bother writing anything? I want to sit back, relax and drink this. So, I did. OK this is my take: it’s slurpy, full of dark fruits from currants and boysenberries to cherries, doused in baking spices and appealing slightly drying tannins. The acidity tempering the brash fruit sweetness/juiciness across the fuller-bodied palate. Drink by 2028.
