Matured in French oak barriques and puncheons (14% new) on lees for a period of 9 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with a subtle tinge of green to outskirts and a watery hue. Elevated white peach, nectarine and dried honey scents drift out of the glass followed by hints of cashew, biscuity nougat and faint gun flint notes. Mid weighted, concentrated and gently creamy in its texture the palate has a rich yet refined flavour profile. Fleshy white peach and nectarine fruits melding with dried honey, delicate cashew, citrusy nougat and spice characters. Perfectly balanced acidity with a long, quietly persistent finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 13.5%

Other Reviews…..
Here we go. This is Tim Perrin’s first vintage, and I like the cut of his jib. Riper. Less worked.
Melon and stone fruit, lime, some spice and nougat, maybe even some fennel perfume. It’s glossy, but has bright grapefruity acidity, a slight flintiness to texture, plenty of flavour, lemon oil, with some creamy cashew and spice, something just a little bit savoury/umami, and a finish of excellent length. It’s a lovely expression of Chardonnay that drinks so well. It’s the best release of Clonale in many years, at least to my way of thinking. I’m touch and go for 94 points. Drink 2024-2030.
