2023 Lightfoot Pinot Noir

Light and supple with red fruits extending through to a savoury finish.

Semi translucent red to dark red colour with a light red hue. Drifting out of the glass are red to dark cherry and rhubarb scents which are complimented by some dried herb, brambly cedar and spice notes. Fresh red cherry, winter strawberry and rhubarb flavours decorate the light, supple palate with notions of dried herbs, forest floor and spice lying underneath. Polished tannins and nicely balanced acidity lead into a savoury finish.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.

There seems to be a gentle touch this vintage, with wonderful fruit expression. A pinot with all the fine aromas and flavours the variety can muster, yet it’s restrained with mouth-watering raspberry-like acidity and silky tannins. There’s a savoury edge to this, lighter framed yet highly enjoyable. Drink by 2029.
