2023 Marchand & Burch Village Pinot Noir

Marchand & Burch is a collaboration of two old friends from France and Australia who share a love of fine wine. Winemaker Pascal Marchand and vigneron Jeff Burch have embarked on a partnership to hand-craft Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from selected sites in both countries. Dark red core with black shaded edges and a vibrant red to dark red hue. Perfumed violet like scents lead the way followed by some red to dark cherry, strawberry, forest floor, spicy cedar and gentle clove notes. Savoury red cherry and winter strawberry fruits combine with some rhubarb, forest floor, dried herb and spicy cedar characters across the light elegant palate. Polished feel with good freshness and fine grained tannins. Concludes eloquently long.
