2023 Moorooduc Estate Chardonnay

A medium bodied, refined Chardonnay layered with rich fruits which are complexed by notions of cashew, dried honey, spicy nougat and gun flint.

100% wild yeast fermented in French oak barrels, 10% being new with 100% natural malolactic fermentation and 9 months maturation in barrel. Brilliant pale straw colour with highlights of green around the edges and a watery hue. Drifting through the olfactory senses are attractive aromas of white peach, dried honey and biscuity nougat trailed by some delicate cashew, citrus and spice notes. Refined in it’s feel, the palate is layered with rich white peach, dried honey and cashew flavours which meld into a back drop of biscuit, spicy nougat and infusions of gun flint. Gently creamed texturally it shows good underlying freshness and finishes long.
