2023 Mr Riggs Watervale Riesling

Watervale in the Clare Valley is home to some of Australia’s best’s Rieslings. It’s here that Ben Riggs sources fruit from the Brysky vineyards to produce this zesty lemon lime filled Riesling.
The 2023 vintage in the Clare Valley was much cooler and later than average, allowing slow balanced ripening with great natural acidity.
Brilliant water like core with greenish tinged edges. Intense lime, citrus and orange rind scents jump out of the glass followed by distinct talc and chalky mineral notes. The scrumptious palate features concentrated lemon and lime fruits which carry good textural volume. Notions of orange rind, green apple, chalky talc and steely mineral characters ensue. Crunchy acidity provides great tension and focus to the long, zesty finish.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
