2023 Neudorf Tiritiri Chardonnay

A shapely mid weighted Chardonnay that finishes long and refined.

Barrel fermented in medium toast French oak (10% new) then matured for 10 months on full lees with monthly stirring. Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish toned edges and a watery hue. Pronounced aromas of nectarine, white peach and a whiff of grapefruit are trailed by some biscuity oak, faint dried honey and smoky gun flint notes. Shapely white peach, nectarine and citrus fruits are layered across the mid weighted palate. Delicate dried honey, biscuity oak and infusions of gun flint ensue. Nicely integrated fresh acidity with a long, refined and well fleshed finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
