2023 Scorpo Vineyard Aubaine Chardonnay

Matured in French oak barriques (25% new) on gross lees with minimal stirring for a period of 6 months.
Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Ripe nectarine, pear and dried honey aromas drift through the nostrils with plenty of intensity trailed by hints of grapefruit, roasted almond and lemon butter. Delicious ripe nectarine, pear and citrus fruits overlay a back drop of lemon butter, roasted almond and infusions of gun flint. Finishes long and fresh yet fleshy showing both energy and refinement.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
