2024 Maude Pinot Gris

Fifty percent fermented in seasoned oak barrels to add body weight and texture this Central Otago Pinot Gris consistently delivers great value. Brilliant very pale straw, almost water like colour with a faint tinge of green around the outskirts. Intense pear, lychee and rosewater scents leap from the glass followed by some musk and honeysuckle notes. Luscious yet fresh and energetic, the palate is awash with pear and lychee fruit. Some distinct musk characters and infusions of rosewater lie in the background. Lively acidity enlivens the long dry to off dry finish.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
