The ancient varieties of wheat used in Altamura have names such as Appulo, Arcangelo, Duilio and Simeto and they all must be grown in Altamura or the adjoining Communes of Gravina in Puglia, Laterza, Matera, Poggiorsini, Spinazzola, Angomarzio or Minervo Murge. The vodka's clean, crisp taste and silky texture makes it ideal for enjoying neat, on the rocks or as a superior base for cocktails.
