Peat and Port work well together at Amrut, so it's no surprise that La Maison du Whiskey have bottled several iterations. This was part of the 2020 Creation Catalog dedicated to the Bangalore distillery. The whisky finds its unity of tone thanks to a subtle but incessant back and forth between peaty, fruity, animal, exotic, medicinal, spicy and ashy notes. According to the bottlers, the attack on the palate is particularly exotic with pineapple and intense peat, while the aftertaste is reminiscent of a chimney fire. Filled in 2014, cask #2713 was a run of 516 bottles in August 2020, specially commissioned by the French retailer. We have secured a small quantity. 60% Alc./Vol. It's not stated on the label, but it's safe to assume this was not chill filtered.
