Bain's Cape Mountain Single Grain South African Whisky (750ml)

This is the first South African single grain whisky, produced in Wellington at the James Sedgwick distillery, and it's made an impressive debut, In the UK, it was awarded a Gold Medal at the International Wine & Spirits Competition 2010 and a Silver at the International Spirits Competition before being crowned with the title of "World's Best Grain Whisky" at the World Whisky Awards. Not bad at all!

Drayman’s in Pretoria is run by brewer Moritz Kallmeyer, while the James Sedgwick distillery in Wellington is home to Three Ships and Bain’s Cape Mountain Grain. Bain’s was created by distiller Andy Watts as a way to attract the new, female drinker. Sweet and succulent, this is like an alcohol ice cream sundae — fudge chunks, toffee, and butterscotch syrup, not to mention the ice cream, You pile on the pounds just smelling it. A lush beauty.
